Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Salary: £26ph
Job Purpose:
To carry out installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical systems in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. An Approved Electrician is expected to work independently and may oversee the work of other electricians
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in a large commercial settings.
Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other testing as required.
Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
Supervise and mentor junior electricians or apprentices as required.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth job progression.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
Ensure compliance with NICEIC or other governing body requirements.
Participate in on-call or emergency response duties when required.
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Inspection & Testing Certification
ECS Gold Card
IPAF is a Plus
Full UK Driving License.
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
Proven ability to carry out fault finding, testing, and commissioning.
Experience with both single and three-phase systems.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Capable of supervising and mentoring others.
