Summary
Our client Repsol based in Aberdeen are currently looking for a SAP Consultant/ERP Advisor to join their team on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced SAP Consultant with an Oil and gas background. For more information on this role see below:
The ERP Advisor is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and IT – ERP solutions. They collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements, improve processes, and define cost-effective IT solutions, particularly focused on data analytics and digital transformation.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify needs, improve processes, and define cost-effective IT solutions aligned with digital transformation goals, focusing on data analytics
• Partner with project managers and IT teams to deliver high-quality solutions, ensuring the IT team is the preferred partner for business departments
•
• Lead project resources and the business to ensure high-quality deliverables with strong sustainability
• Liaise with IT infrastructure and support teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible
• Analyze existing SAP environments and propose system enhancements related to finance processes and data
• Perform timely resolution of SAP incidents, service requests, and implement minor enhancements
• Ensure an up-to-date and reliable SAP infrastructure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement projects, troubleshoot problems, and provide vendor support
• Conduct development activities in accordance with the ERP software development lifecycle and defined change control and compliance procedures
• Develop and implement complex solutions using internal and external application tools and coordinate testing, cutover activities, and manage support for ERP systems
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of SAP capabilities and provide support for their expansion and develop ad-hoc reports using SAP tools
• Provide support for Maximo application issues and supporting products
• Firmly understand the threat of Cyber Attacks in IT and OT environments
Professional Skills and Experiences
• IT Business Analysis and PM experience in an upstream Oil & Gas industry strongly preferred
• Proven ability to provide day-to-day Finance/SCM IT/SAP operational support
• Experienced in the development, administration, configuration and technical support of a SAP environment
• Solid experience in SAP FICO, additional SAP experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of IT concepts and a wide range of information technologies and their potential to resolve business problems
Educational Qualification and Certifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related ERP-focused discipline.
• Certification in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or Project Management is preferred
• Other preferred certifications:
o Evidence of formal training in SAP, certified support specialist
o SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP ERP (fico)
o SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Management (SCM)
o SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (SAP S/4 HANA)
o IBM Maximo Asset Management Functional Analyst Certification
o IBM Maximo Deployment Professional Certification
