Job Summary – Complex Care Support Worker (Permanent Role)

MAM Care Services is a growing agency providing high-quality, specialist care to children aged 0–18 across Yorkshire and the Humber.
We are currently looking for a bubbly, supportive and reliable PCA to join the core team of a lovely young girl in Barnsley who requires consistent, safe and emotionally nurturing care.
We are currently recruiting experienced care staff for 2 positions
x1 - 24 Hour Waking Nights Contract (8pm-8am)
x1 12 Hour Day contract (10am-4pm) to be discussed in person
Opportunity for increased hours in the future.
Start Date for Training - 21st July 2025
About the Client:
we are supporting a delightful young girl with a warm personality who lives at home with her family in Barnsley. She requires consistent and specialist support to meet her daily health and care needs.
She has : Cerabal palsy, Epileptic seizures requiring vigilant monitoring and calm reassurance presence during episodes. To manage air way and reduce the risk of respiratory distress she requires suctioning and is also PEG/J tube fed. Staff will be key in supporting her daily routine offering bot physical and emotional reassurance.
We are looking for:
Experienced healthcare professionals (e.g., support workers, nurses) with proven skills in complex care
Individuals who are reliable, adaptable, and confident working independently in family homes

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Complex Care Support Worker with MAM Care Services, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Providing high-quality, person-centred care to children with complex health needs in their own homes
Delivering specialist clinical tasks such as:
Airway management
Administration of oxygen, nebulisers, and emergency medications
PEG and other enteral feeding procedures
Seizure and epilepsy monitoring and management
Supporting the child’s daily routines, including personal care, mobility, communication, and social activities
Promoting a safe and nurturing environment that supports the child’s physical and emotional well-being
Following individual care plans and risk assessments accurately
Documenting care using digital systems in line with CQC and company standards
Communicating effectively with families, professionals, and the MAM Care Services management team
Responding to emergencies and acting promptly in line with clinical protocols
Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding the rights of the child at all times
Participating in training, supervision, and clinical competency assessments as required
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for a role with MAM Care Services, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in providing care in paediatric settings community or hospital settings.
Mandatory :
Working with children with complex needs (Own home, Hospital)
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Complex training in one or more of the below is advantageous:
Suctioning
Epilepsy and seizure management
PEG/Enteral Feeding
Medication Administration
Full clinical training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and competent in delivering her care.
