Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Volunteer Manager to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a Full-time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. In return, our Volunteer Manager will receive a competitive rate of £36,167 - £40,937 per annum, based on experience.

About the Volunteer Manager role:
In your role as Volunteer Manager, you will report to the Retail Operations & Trading Manager. You will work collaboratively across the charity to ensure a cohesive approach to meet volunteer recruitment, on-boarding and retention targets whilst providing the best experience for our volunteers.
You will lead on volunteering across the charity focusing on development, implementation, and monitoring of a new 5-year Volunteer Strategy. You will identify, recommend, and implement improvements across all volunteering programmes.
You will need to be confident and comfortable with adopting a creative but measured approach to projects and problem solving. You must currently hold a full driving licence with access to own vehicle and willingness to travel across our catchment area of Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.
We are looking for a Volunteer Manager who has:
Strong / confident verbal and written communication.
Experience in Development and implementation of Strategy and evaluating impact.
Contemporary knowledge of attitudes towards volunteering and changing trends in volunteering.
The provision of training and support to staff who manage volunteers.
Ability to work collaboratively and build good working relationships both internally and externally to deliver best results and meet targets.
