About the Role
HSDC is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Print Room Assistant to join our busy Print Ser-vices team. In this hands-on role, you will provide high-quality scanning, printing, photocopying, and document finishing services across the college, ensuring all jobs are completed to a profes-sional standard.
You’ll operate a variety of print and finishing equipment, manage stock levels, handle incoming par-cels, and support staff with print-related queries. Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Delivering scanning, printing, and photocopying services for the college, along with wider document management tasks (such as booklet production), in accordance with depart-mental processes and procedures, ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
• Set up and operate finishing equipment to cut, collate, staple, assemble, laminate, glue, and fold printed materials
• To undertake routine checking and maintenance of all the print room equipment and Col-lege printers. Determining faults and addressing or escalating to Engineers as required
• To monitor paper and consumable stock levels
• Processing internal requisitions and internal charges
Requirements
You will need:
• A sound understanding of printing technology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to operate effectively as a member of a team and with minimum supervision
• Highly dependable, totally trustworthy and able to meet deadlines
