Working hours: This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week, 9:30am -2:30pm Monday – Friday
Salary: £18,200 - £18,473 per annum (actual full time equivalent £29,120 - £29,556), subject to qualifications and experience
Benefits: We offer a range of benefits including hybrid and flexible working, 11% non-contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday (15 days pro rata) rising to 29 (17.5 days pro rata) after five years’ service.
ROLE DUTIES
- Design and prepare an enjoyable but straightforward breakfast and lunch menus, including cold, light cooked and ad hoc specials options and ensure these maintain within budget.
-Prepare and serve high quality food and drink, catering to dietary and cultural requirements.
-Monitor stock levels, rotate stock effectively through careful labelling, and identify ordering needs.
-Collaborate with the Operations Manager on food ordering, set up suppliers, review processes and menu options, being proactive in making suggestions for changes and improvement
CRITERIA
-Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
-Previous experience of and ability to prepare, cook and serve meals
-Previous experience in a community-based or similar catering environment
-Personable, willing, and helpful with the ability to work on own initiative and respond to different needs and multiple priorities.
