We Offer:
Join us in a Finance Manager role. This is a fixed term contract for approximately 6 – 9 months to cover an internal restructure. You will support the Head of Finance by managing the financial and administrative functions associated with the full range of management accounting activities on behalf of Pickering & Ferens Homes.
Key responsibilities include:
- To operate a computerised accounting system
- To prepare management accounting information including Financial reports, annual budgets and value for money reviews.
- To comply with internal control procedures
- To assist with treasury management duties
- To assist with the accurate and timely completion of the Associations VAT returns
- Review the financial risks facing the organisation, and put control measures in place to manage these risks
- To manage the Assistant Accountant
- To deputise for the Head of Finance when appropriate
The ideal candidate will have –
- A professional Accountancy qualification at an appropriate level
- Knowledge of computerised financial systems.
- Minimum of five years’ experience working within a financial environment at a senior level.
- Experience of supervising and managing staff teams.
- Attention to detail, with a confidential, professional approach.
- A strong desire to live by and promote our values and culture.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages.
- Knowledge of housing finance and accountancy requirements is desirable but not essential.
Salary: Up to £41,500 (FTE) depending on experience.
Hours: 37 hours per week
We welcome job share applicants at this stage but would need a match to progress to further stages as full time hours are required for the role.
