Summary

Academic Improvement Mentor – Sessional (Part time – Fixed until June 2026)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Academic Improvement Mentors to join our team and make a real impact.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with students who need extra support, helping them to break through barriers to learning and gain confidence in their studies. Whether it’s providing one-to-one mentoring, working with small groups, or supporting students directly in the classroom, you'll be a key part of their journey toward academic success.

You will collaborate with teaching staff to identify students who could benefit from additional guidance, provide tailored subject support, and monitor progress to ensure each student stays on track. Your input will help shape learning plans, boost motivation, and create meaningful change in students' educational experiences.

GRADE OF POST: National Minimum/Living Wage

Aged 18 to 20 = £10.00 per hour

Aged 21+ = £12.21 per hour

HOURS OF WORK: Hours will be worked as and when required by agreement, between the hours of 08.30am and 5.00pm for up to 15 hours per week, term time with the possibility of additional weeks during the remainder of term time and possibly during college holidays.
