The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy reception team, to provide an excellent customer and administration service.

You will be expected to communicate with people at all levels, ensuring a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to visitors, tenants, staff and students at all times. You will be an excellent communicator, organized and work comfortably within a professional front of house environment. You will also be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.

The Reception area itself operates Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:15 hrs with a team of 3 Receptionists. Receptionists will be required to have interchangeable skills in order to provide full duties at all times.

Working hours for this post are:

Wednesday - 12:45 – 17:15 hrs
Thursday and Friday 08:30 – 17:15 hrs

The successful candidate will also provide planned absence cover for other receptionists. The other receptionists will provide the same when this postholder is also on leave. Leave dates will be agreed well in advance.

In addition to the above, you may also, on occasion, provide some administrative support to HR, committees and other areas of SAMS, where required.


Our Ideal Candidate:

You will already have some experience of working in a reception or customer focused role and be familiar with administrative duties. You will be able to multi-task, think on your feet and prioritize your own work tasks as well as work well as a team with other receptionists. You will also need to provide flexibility for cover for other receptionists and assist other areas of the business, where required.
