Study Skills Coach – 22.5 hours per week/Term Time Only + 5 additional days

Salary - £12,847.81 to £13,694.91 per annum

Salary Scale - NJC 5-9 (£24,191 to £25,786 FTE)

Due to the continued growth of the college, we are looking to employ a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work with staff and students to support them in our new learning space called 'The Bridge' and other areas around college. The role will involve working in collaboration with the current study skills coach and subject areas to enhance the student learning experience and support our independent study strategies. The successful candidate will be someone who can confidently lead and support our newly appointed Academic Improvement Mentors. The role will continue to develop an inspiring study culture and actively engage with students throughout their time at Franklin College.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to work with young people, and a chance to gain valuable experience supporting students within a successful and vibrant sixth form college environment. Full training will be provided, and there may by additional opportunities for successful graduate level applicants being further training towards achieving accredited teaching status.

Applicants must be educated to a minimum of Level 3 (A Level) with a good standard of English. Applicants must also be reliable and professional, have excellent communication skills, be empathetic and able to work under pressure.
