Summary
The Ministry of Defence is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Officer – Recruitment and Onboarding to support our Human Resources team.
This pivotal role will assist in the coordination, administration, and delivery of recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring the timely appointment and smooth integration of personnel into the Ministry.
You will work closely with HR advisors, hiring managers, candidates, and other key stakeholders to uphold the integrity, efficiency, and professionalism of MOD recruitment operations.
This is a diverse and challenging role that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their HR knowledge and to gain hands-on experience in the delivery of high-profile services.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
Manage onboarding processes, including offer letters, pre-employment checks, and induction scheduling.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in HR systems and ensure compliance with MOD policies and security protocols.
Liaise with internal departments and external bodies to facilitate recruitment and vetting procedures.
Support continuous improvement in recruitment and onboarding practices.
Prepare documentation and reports for HR and management review.
Achieving all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in support of the overall objective to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as defined and agreed.
