Summary

We believe in changing childhoods, changing lives through our extensive range of projects and services across Scotland to help lift children and young people out of all forms of poverty, abuse and discrimination. These services include Hear 4 U an independent advocacy service for children and young people which works to ensure their rights are respected and their views heard. We are seeking to recruit a part time independent advocacy worker in North Ayrshire for an initial 12-month period.



In this key role you will provide an independent advocacy service for children and young people from priority groups. Your role will be assisting children and young people to express their thoughts and views, ensuring that they can participate in the processes that affect their lives. You will also contribute to service development and evaluation. Experience of working directly with children, young people and families in a paid or voluntary setting will be essential, along with a sound understanding of child protection issues and a current driving license and access to a car for business purposes. Experience of advocating on behalf of children and/or young people is desirable
