Summary
Total Social are working with Newcastle City Council who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their Children’s Services team.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children’s Services team in a specialist, non-caseholding role. This position focuses exclusively on completing high-quality CUBAS (Capacity to Understand and Be Aware of Safeguarding) and ParentAssess assessments, supporting practice quality and contributing to safeguarding decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake CUBAS and ParentAssess assessments to a high standard
- Prepare detailed, analytical reports to inform care planning and court proceedings
- Support social workers in understanding and applying assessment frameworks
- Contribute to safeguarding decisions through expert analysis and recommendations
- Provide evidence in court as required
- Promote consistent, high-quality practice across the team
