Please state in your Personal Statement which vacancy/vacancies you are interested in.Vacancy A - Maternity coverPart-time (25 - 30 hours per week across 4 days)Term-time (36 weeks per annum)Fixed term until 30th January 2026Based on 25 hours per week, the salary would be £13,329 - £13,613 per annum Tycoch CampusVacancy BPart-time (30 hours per week across 5 days)Term-time (36 weeks per annum)Fixed term until 31st August 2026£15,994 - £16,335 per annum Jubilee Court Campus (Fforestfach)Key Responsibilities:To provide one-to-one or small group support under lecturer direction as appropriate in the classroom setting.To assist with the development of learners’ literacy and numeracy skills.To assist with the pastoral care needs of learners and to direct learners to other college support mechanisms as necessary.To provide learners with help in understanding oral and written instruction.To assist with the co-ordination of learners’ work, record keeping and progress through liaison with lecturing and support staff at all levels within the College.About you:Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent Experience of working with young people in a similar job roleKnowledge and understanding of the needs of students with additional learning needs/learning difficultiesConfident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBenefits for you:A Local Government Pension Scheme with an average employer contribution of 21% (2024)2 staff well-being daysDiscounted study opportunities on College programmesView more benefits here: https://www.gcs.ac.uk/recruitment/staff-benefits-wellbeingNeed help with your application?
