Repairs Surveyor (PO2)

Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Repairs Surveyor (PO2) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the effective management and delivery of repairs and maintenance services across our property portfolio. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, assessing the condition of properties, and recommending appropriate repair strategies to maintain high standards of living for our residents. You will work closely with contractors and maintenance teams to ensure that repair works are completed efficiently, within budget, and to a high quality. This role requires not only technical knowledge of building construction and maintenance but also strong communication skills to liaise with both internal stakeholders and external service providers. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the overall quality of our housing stock, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
Conduct property inspections to assess repair needs and condition of buildings.
Prepare detailed reports and specifications for required repair works.
Liaise with contractors to facilitate timely and effective repairs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during repair operations.
Monitor repair projects to ensure they meet quality standards and are completed on time.
Manage budgets for maintenance projects and track expenditure.
Provide expert advice to residents regarding repairs and maintenance issues.
Requirements
A relevant degree in building surveying, architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience in property maintenance and management.
Strong knowledge of building regulations and health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated experience in using surveying tools and software.
