Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time - Shirley (B90) - September 2025 Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? A welcoming SEN school in Shirley is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025.

This is a full-time opportunity to work with students aged 4-19 who have a range of learning needs including Autism and ADHD. The school takes pride in its nurturing, student-focused approach, combining academic support with life skills to help every child thrive.

Your Role Will Include:

Providing 1:1 support to students, encouraging their learning, confidence, and emotional development

Assisting with tailored lessons and structured activities that meet individual needs

We're Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has experience supporting children with ASD or other additional needs, ideally in an SEN or school setting

Brings a calm, patient, and adaptable approach to their work

Can communicate clearly and confidently, with strong behaviour management strategies

Is flexible in their support style and able to respond to individual pupil needs

Holds a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification - though this isn't essential if you have relevant experience and the right attitude
