Role
We're seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team. You'll work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support students across KS3 and KS4, providing tailored academic and emotional support both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with EHCPs
- Assist in adapting learning materials to suit individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and sensory needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals
Candidate
- Experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusion
- Willingness to learn and take direction from SEN specialists
- A background in psychology, education, or youth work is a plus
