Graduate Academic Mentor – Bolton – Up to £550 per week – Full-Time

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Bolton is seeking a dedicated Graduate Academic Mentor to join their team from September 2025. This full-time role is ideal for graduates who want to make a meaningful impact while developing valuable classroom experience.

As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you’ll support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a range of academic subjects, helping to raise attainment and build confidence.

Key responsibilities:

As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will:

• Support students with varying academic needs in a structured environment
• Work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions
• Provide classroom assistance in lessons, particularly in English, Maths or Science
• Help plan and deliver sessions focused on exam preparation and revision
• Track student progress and report to teaching staff

The Graduate Academic Mentor will play a vital role in narrowing learning gaps and supporting students who need extra guidance to reach their potential.

This Graduate Academic Mentor role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with young people, particularly if you’re exploring teaching, educational psychology, or youth work.

Ideal candidate:

We’re looking for a Graduate Academic Mentor who:

• Holds a 2:1 degree or higher (preferably in a core academic subject)
• Has strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Enjoys working with young people and is passionate about education
• Is based in the UK and eligible to work full-time (visa sponsorship not available)
• Has previous experience in tutoring, mentoring or classroom settings (desirable but not essential)
