Summary

We require Registered (Adult) Nurses / RGNs, or Paramedics with 2 years' post qualification experience, who want to deliver gold standard care and be a proud part of a team who has this vision with a real passion for developing clinical, forensic and wider skills.  

 You must have the flexibly work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.



What can you expect to earn?  

Below is based on shifts per month 

-£20.50 per hour 1-2 shifts 

-£22.50 per hour 3-5 shifts 

-£24.50 per hour 6+ shifts 



Experience - Essential

-RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration):2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum

-Paramedic 2 years post qualification.

-Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service



Licence/Certification:

-HCPC/NMC (required)

-Driving Licence (required)

-Must be a UK resident for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months

-All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting

   

What does the role involve?  

The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations.  Making careful records on our computerised systems, you will be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime.  

No previous forensic experience required we will provide all your training
