The Grange is a 26 bed nursing home for the elderly in situated in the quiet village of Sherborne St John outside Basingstoke We are professional, supportive, engaging, and our goal is to provide excellent levels of care to our residents, showing dignity, empathy and respect, always acting with utmost professionalism.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team, in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. We operate 12 hour shifts 6:45pm to 7am (one hour unpaid break), worked between Monday and Sunday with alternate weekends off. We have 2 positions each offering 3 nights per week. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and ensuring the well-being of those under their care.
Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of the qualified nursing staff to:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding
- Support clients with mobility around their home
- Engage with residents to promote physical and mental well-being
- Maintain accurate care records
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes (Log My Care)
Qualifications required:
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills
- Experience in understanding and working to care plans would be advantageous
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Previous experience in nursing home care or care home settings is advantageous
