Brown Brothers in Kirkconnel are currently looking for full-time Food Operatives. The hours of work are 1.55pm - 9.55pm Monday to Friday. The rate of pay, if over 18, is £12.60 an hour.
Previous experience is not required as successful candidates will receive full training.
Job Purpose:
To produce product to the required specification ensuring quality standards are met.
To support Team Leader/Manager in the delivery of the Production Plan, ensuring that all orders are completed on time and in full.
To promote good manufacturing/safety practice throughout the factory and to ensure that all targets are met
Key Accountabilities:
To be present and ready wearing the correct PPE at the start of the shift
To be aware of and comply with the hygiene requirements as set out in the company handbook.
Comply with paperwork requirements.
To be aware of and comply with any Health and Safety requirements as set out in the company handbook, Fire Procedure, Emergency Stops/Guards on machines, COSHH etc
Report any issues identified with a machine or any non-conforming product to the team leader.
Comply with any paperwork requirements for the area as required.
Treat colleagues and visitors with respect.
Support, Buddy & mentor New Starts.
Keep to break times as allocated by the department manager. These may vary depending on the area you are working and the business needs.
To comply with Food Safety requirements
Follow all reasonable instructions by the mentor / team leader / manager.
Adhere to the conduct rules as set out in the company handbook.
Minimise waste / report any wastage.
Demonstrate the company HEART values throughout the working day.
Ability to commute or relocate.
Any other reasonable tasks in relation to the role
