Crynodeb

Are you someone who leads with empathy, brings structure to complexity, and is passionate about helping people feel safe and secure in their homes?

Southdown is one of the leading providers of housing, care, and support services in Sussex. Our Housing Support Services help people who are at risk of homelessness, living in temporary accommodation, or facing challenges such as poverty, mental health issues, or domestic abuse. We work in partnership with local authorities to offer person-centred support that helps people find stability and move forward.

As a Team Manager, you’ll lead our frontline housing support staff, helping create a consistent, compassionate and effective service. You’ll provide guidance, oversight and encouragement to staff while building strong relationships with commissioners and community partners. Your leadership will create the conditions where people doing challenging work feel supported, heard and able to deliver real impact.

The Assertive Outreach & Move On Service
The Assertive Outreach & Move On Service provides direct support to people across East Sussex who are rough sleeping or living in temporary accommodation following a period of homelessness. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, including health services, substance dependency services and housing authorities we provide a wraparound package of support, using a trauma-informed approach, aimed at supporting people away from homelessness and into settled accommodation.

We welcome applications from people with experience in roles such as Housing Team Leader, Homelessness Services Manager, Supported Housing Coordinator, or anyone with the right values, leadership experience and transferable skills. If you bring a supportive leadership style and commitment to housing security, we will provide the training to help you succeed in the role.
