Summary
Job Description
We are looking to recruit a PA for 15 hours per week to support our employer with gaining independence within his own home and community.
A confident but calming presence to help support our employer to gain confidence and build a trusting relationship with you will be essential for this role, ensuring things are done at a slow and steady pace.
Support will be needed to maintain a clean and tidy home environment and ensure that our employer has access to a range of healthy meals. Support to prepare food for the day and the next day will be required. There is a supermarket a short walk away and our employer will need encouragement to walk there and select ingredients to prepare simple, healthy meals.
Our employer will need prompts and encouragement to shower and maintain personal hygiene, however will not need any element of personal care.
Supporting the employer to get out and access his local community will be required, a driver would be desirable, however it is not essential for this role, as there are lots of amenities close by.
Support will be required on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and times are below, however these can be negotiated to suit.
It is important to note, this IS a smoking household, and the employer does smoke in the property. He has confirmed he will smoke outside if the PA is a non-smoker.

No specific training required, however an understanding of autism would be desirable, or a willing to understand and support our employer.
About Me
I have a diagnosis of autism and potentially ADHD, however this has not been formally diagnosed.
I am hoping to find a PA who has an interest in gaming, as this is something I am incredibly passionate about and would love to have someone to share this with.
I live in my own home, and I need support to maintain this, and support to prepare healthy and balanced meals.
I have a keen interest in history and music and I am very nonweldable in these areas.
I do smoke inside my home, however if you were uncomfortable with this, I would be happy to smoke outside when you were here.
I have a vivid and vast imagination and sometimes need support to be told what is and isn’t realistic, I have a great support system with my mother, and she is keen to be involved and support this process.

I have a passion for gaming and a keen interest in Music and History.
