We are seeking a passionate and organised individual to coordinate vital services for people moving off the streets into direct access accommodation.
Position:Rough Sleeper Coordinator
Salary:£29,845 - £32,439 per annum
Location:Southend-on-Sea
Hours:Full-time, including rota work (early mornings, late evenings, weekends & bank holidays)

About the Role
As a Rough Sleeper Coordinator, you will play a central role in supporting individuals as they move directly from the street into short-term supported accommodation. Working alongside other teams, you will help ensure each person's transition is safe, supported and sets them on the path to longer-term housing and recovery.
Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the day-to-day running of direct access accommodation

Supporting and supervising front-line staff, volunteers and peer mentors

Coordinating assessments, support planning and personalised case management

Collaborating with partner organisations to ensure wraparound support

Leading and participating in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding processes

Contributing to service improvement and policy development

Managing health, safety and housing compliance on-site
You'll also help maintain morale, facilitate communication, and encourage innovative practice across the team
About You
You're a confident, compassionate leader with experience in homelessness, social care, housing or similar frontline services. You bring strong organisational skills, emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach. Ideally, you will have:

Experience supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs

Knowledge of safeguarding, housing systems and person-centred support

A commitment to team development and continuous service improvement

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends

Excellent communication skills and confidence in managing stakeholders
