This opportunity represents an ideal post for a doctor committed to a career in General Surgery with a wide range of potential skill development following their MRCP. Day-to-day work will cover both elective and emergency aspects of the service. An example on-call timetable is outlined in the job description. Our supportive and friendly environment has a proven track record in supporting individual career development and although not a training post, doctors will be assigned a clinical supervisor who will provide support, career guidance and mentoring. The appointee will take a responsible role when on call, see patients in out-patient clinics and do independent or supervised surgery depending on their training progress.

The Trust is committed to your educational development, and candidates will have access to study leave, exposure to clinics, theatres, teaching and opportunities to undertake audit and quality improvement work.
