We have exciting opportunities due to promotion and funding for Band 6 Children's Speech and Language Therapists to join our friendly and innovative Speech and Language Therapy Team in Oldham. These are permanent roles.
There are a variety of sessions available in Complex Pre-School, School aged and Mainstream Schools. Successful candidates will work with children who have complex needs including; AAC, Autism, SEMH and other complex presentations. We are therefore looking for individuals who are team players with a passion for meeting the needs of a diverse population.
Within this role you will:

- Have opportunity for professional development as well as informal and formal training opportunities. You will receive regular opportunities for supervision, peer support and be supported to develop your clinical specialism.

We work in partnership with families, schools and other professionals to provide functional targets and high-quality care for children and families.
We offer flexible working patterns with opportunities to work full time/part time and remote/face to face/hybrid. Regrettably, we cannot offer a term time only contract for this role.
The successful candidate will:
• Enthusiastically provide a speech and language service to children across the Oldham area
• Assess, diagnose, develop, and implement speech and language therapy packages of care.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a co-ordinated care plan, based on best practice/evidence base.
• Organise and manage a speech and language caseload with support from their line manager, alongside opportunities to shadow colleagues and attend specific pathway meetings.
• Work with children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs including including; DLD, AAC, Autism, SEMH and other complex presentations.
• Demonstrate clinical effectiveness through the use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
• Provide clinical advice to others, including parents/carers, school staff and other professionals regarding the management and care of children with communication difficulties.
• Work alongside education, local authority and early years partners, supporting a graduated approach to helping children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Build skills in the wider workforce which will have positive intervention outcomes.
