Summary

A well-established and growing top 5 global insurance broker in Lutterworth is looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their energetic team. This isn’t your average handler role. It’s a newly created position driven by internal restructuring and business growth.

You’ll be supporting a dynamic Account Executive focused on new business across contractors, motor trade, property, and commercial combined risks. The portfolio includes a broad mix of SME and mid-market clients, with premiums typically between £10K to £20K, and some exceeding £100K+ as the business continues to target larger opportunities.

The role calls for someone with 5+ years’ commercial broking experience, confident working independently, and technically strong across multiple product lines. You’ll handle everything from obtaining terms and preparing insurer presentations to managing renewals and keeping the Exec’s workflow on track, allowing them to focus on selling. If you like to get out and visit client, there will be the opportunity to do that as well with some larger clients.

The team values personality and pace. It’s a sociable, assertive and supportive environment where you’ll need a proactive mindset and a good sense of humour. If you prefer quiet corners and hands off leadership, this might not be the right fit. But if you thrive in a buzzing office and want to make a visible impact, this is your chance.

There’s also real opportunity to grow, whether your ambition is to move into an Account Executive role, step into leadership, or simply deepen your technical expertise.

The business prefer to have staff in the office as they feel it creates a culture and socialble environment, however they are open to agile working should it be essential to you.
