We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in the advertised role of a Caretaker at English Martyrs RC Primary School. Emmaus CAT (Diocese of Salford) is a growing Catholic Academy Trust with a footprint covering Manchester, Oldham, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford. We believe that the Caretaker will contribute significantly to the individual journey of the school, and the CAT as a whole over the coming months and years, and we are excited for the future of the Emmaus Catholic family of schools.

We are looking for a candidate who will take an active interest in the life of the school and enhance the excellent services that we provide, taking pride in their work setting themselves high standards in the condition of the building and school grounds. You will be expected to work a split shift and act as a key holder for the premises. However, some flexibility will be required in order to facilitate holidays, school events and meetings. The ability to plan and undertake repairs and general maintenance to a high standard is essential along with the ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive in your approach to daily work, including porterage and cleaning duties. Experience of working in site management/maintenance/building trades, whilst not essential, would be an advantage.
