Crynodeb
The role requires good communication skills and cooperation with the nursing team vital to the role. The post demands having the ability to communicate at all levels with patients, families / carers, medical and nursing colleagues to maintain a high standard of customer service to meet the needs of the patient and their families. To help facilitate the organisation of any meetings requested by nursing staff, staff debriefs and the weekly multidisciplinary team meeting and to take minutes, To ensure all relevant legal paperwork pertaining to a patients admission is signed off by the Nurse in Charge before sending through to the Mental Health Act office and uploaded onto the patients electronic records. To exchange confidential and / or sensitive information with staff, patients, and families / carers in person or on the telephone. The patients presentation means that persuasive, reassuring, empathic, skills are required at all times. To ensure that all paperwork pertaining to patient care including observations are accurately uploaded to the electronic patient record in a timely manner.
