Summary
Title: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef The Best Connection are looking for a Chef de Partie for our client's prestigeous venue near Howden. This is initially a temporary position with a view to becomming permanent following a successful trial period
As a Chef within the Kitchen team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a fantastic guest experience and learn plenty about food preparation and delivery at the same time. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel to a high standard.
Duties and responsibilities: Documenting each morning what is required before they prepare the days dishes Cleaning and organising the food preparation area, ensuring COSHH and HACCAP guidelines are achieved. Helping to develop an exceptional team under the guidance of the head chef Addressing and resolving diners and clients complaints quickly Monitoring the kitchen area and the staff to ensure sanitation standards are maintained Ensuring all food products to be prepared are not expired Successful applicants will have: Great experience in leading banqueting / large functions In-depth knowledge of the kitchens routines and utensils Ability to grasp and follow the leading chefs culinary instructions Knowledge of food preparation methods and presentation Knowledge of how to maintain and care for culinary utensils Diplomatic and conflict resolution skills Leadership skills Ability to work under pressure through rapid deadlines Be a talented team player To be proactive and ahead of the game in terms of menu and food development Own transport due to the remote location Hours, Pay and Benefits: Full-time Permanent position following a successful trial period Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour subject to skills and experience Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Tips Free parking

- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
