Summary

We're looking for Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Penrith, Cumbria, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.



Location: Penrith, Cumbria

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £22,000

Start date: September 2025



How does a degree apprenticeship work?

As a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc in Quantity Surveying with our university partner, Sheffield Hallam, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.

You'll work closely with the Transportation team to design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.



Your day to day will include:

-Working across the commercial and pre-construction department

-Assisting the team with value and risk management

-Supporting the commercial team with cost control, analysis and estimates

-Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course



What are we looking for?

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

-Driving Licence with access to own vehicle

-Level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English

-2 A-Levels, or Level 3 BTEC National Certificate / Diploma / Extended Diploma Or Advanced Diploma in a construction related topic

-Other Level 3 BTEC qualifications will also be considered, preferably with some work experience
