Summary
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in The Southfield Centre, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers and engaging with our pupils with complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
Providing personal and basic medical care e.g. peg feeding (all training will be given)
Helping to create a supportive, enriching and inclusive learning environment.
Monitoring and recording student progress.
Assisting with the management of classroom resources and setup.
May be required to work at any of our six sites.
About You
We are looking for candidates who have:
May suite someone with a previous caring background
A genuine passion for education and the well-being of children
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, school staff and onsite nursing & therapist teams
Patience, flexibility, and a positive can do attitude with a desire to learn from those around you.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
