Summary

Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School (Birmingham, B42) - Full-Time - From £100 per day

Long Term Futures is proud to be partnering with a welcoming secondary school in the Perry Barr area to recruit a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will support students with a range of additional learning needs, which may include Cerebral Palsy, Attachment Disorder, ASD, ADHD, and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).

This is a fulfilling opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through personalised, consistent care.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering tailored 1:1 support to ensure the student feels secure, engaged, and encouraged in their learning

Promoting the student's academic progress while also supporting their emotional and physical development

Using strategies to foster trust, build confidence, and nurture positive relationships

Assisting with mobility and providing appropriate support with toileting and personal care

A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential - experience and the right attitude matter most
