Summary

This role is a key part of the company’s people function, ideal for someone with a background in employee experience or culture coordination.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a vibrant, people-focused environment — someone at the start of their HR journey who’s eager to get stuck in and make things happen. If you're a natural people champion who loves creating togetherness through events, socials, and culture-building initiatives, this role is for you. You’ll work closely with the Head of Performance to shape an outstanding employee journey, while also supporting the senior team with administrative coordination and contributing to workplace wellbeing, safety and environment.

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture
Champion Armorgard’s SHAPE values across all people initiatives and daily interactions.
Coordinate and improve the onboarding and induction experience for all new starters.
Work with managers to coordinate department-led inductions, return to work processes, and basic people-related follow-ups or training needs.
Partner with managers to embed employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives.
Drive internal communications using Teams, SharePoint and other platforms to keep staff informed and connected.
Support the creation and maintenance of the SHAPE book (company playbook) with people-related content.
Assist with employee lifecycle coordination, including onboarding logistics, probation tracking and other key people touchpoints.
Maintain accurate and confidential people records, supporting consistency and compliance.
Work with our outsourced HR provider to align internal practices and systems.

Health & Safety
Support the coordination of H&S processes, including inductions, assessments, audits and policy updates.
Track and organise records for first aiders, fire marshals and H&S training requirements.
Help promote a safe and compliant environment in collaboration with department managers.

Facilities & Workplace
Oversee light-touch facilities needs, such as office supplies, refreshments, workspace upkeep and contractor liaison (cleaning, maintenance, etc.).
Act as the go-to contact for general office and workspace queries.
Help maintain a welcoming, efficient and well-organised office environment.

Executive Support
Provide occasional administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, including meeting coordination, diary management and document preparation.
Support planning and logistics for internal events, training days and leadership offsites.

What we are looking for?
Experience in a People, HR or Culture focused role, such as HR Coordinator, People Administrator, or Employee Experience Assistant.
Someone who brings warmth, energy and a collaborative spirit — a ‘doer’ who enjoys being involved with people and teams.
A fun, down-to-earth approach with the ability to create engagement and togetherness through team socials, culture initiatives and internal comms.
A strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, onboarding and workplace engagement.
Excellent communication skills – warm, clear and confident across all levels.
Highly proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and Forms.
Outstanding organisation and attention to detail.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Experience or interest in H&S coordination and light facilities responsibilities.
Desirable: Working towards or holding a CIPD Level 3 qualification.
A genuine interest in growing a career in HR or People & Culture, with the ability to scale alongside a growing business.
