Crynodeb
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Maintenance Fitter to join our team. This critical role ensures that all Council-owned vehicles, plant, and machinery are maintained to the highest standards, in line with legal, safety, and Council requirements. Your work will directly support Council services by keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and fully operational.
In this position, you will carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, including conducting taxi compliance tests, preparing vehicles for MOT inspections (Class 4 and 7), and supporting LGV MOT preparation to meet VOSA standards. Additionally, you will provide mobile roadside support for breakdowns, including response to landfill sites as required.
