About the Role: We’re excited to be recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant on behalf of a friendly and welcoming primary school right in the heart of Kendal. This vibrant school has a strong community ethos and is known for its nurturing, inclusive environment.
From September, the school is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to Full time support their SEN Pupil.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students facing significant barriers to learning, leading and developing specialist areas of SEND, or collaborating within small teams to deliver targeted intervention work under the guidance of the SENCo.
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver a creative and nurturing curriculum
Foster positive relationships with children and parents alike
Promote a happy, inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and ready to explore
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to observations and assessment
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified Teaching Assistant with recent experience in an KS1 and SEND setting (Level 2 or above)
A calm, caring, and positive approach to supporting young children
Enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work collaboratively within a team
Passionate about early childhood education and helping young learners flourish
Someone who brings creativity, energy, and a warm smile to the classroom each day
