Days/Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £12.50–£13.00 per hour, with excellent benefits

Understanding Equated Pay

Equated pay (also known as spread-over pay) ensures you receive your salary in equal monthly payments throughout the year. This includes pay for your contracted hours, working weeks, and holiday entitlement—even during school closures and non-working periods. More information will be provided at the interview stage.

About the Role

At Sodexo, we believe that outstanding service starts with attention to detail and a commitment to quality. We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to support the daily operations at The Lammas School, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the security and safety of the premises, including key management

  • Conduct routine water temperature checks

  • Carry out painting, decorating, and general maintenance tasks

  • Inspect and maintain toilet facilities and main communal areas

  • Assist and support the cleaning team as needed

  • Respond to helpdesk requests efficiently and effectively

  • Complete both planned and reactive maintenance tasks

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1 week in 4), with an additional callout allowance (once fully trained)
