About the School

This specialist provision supports students with a wide range of needs including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and associated conditions. The School prides itself on its personalised approach, small class sizes, and a strong emphasis on pastoral care. Responsibilities
  • Consistently Lead and manage the SEN provision across the School
  • Develop and implement EHCP strategies and personalised learning plans
  • Coordinate with teaching staff to ensure high-quality, differentiated classroom support
  • Provide leadership and training to SEN support staff
  • Liaise with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure joined-up support
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN, ensuring timely interventions
  • Uphold and embed the School's inclusive ethos in all aspects of provision

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Proven experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role within an SEN or mainstream setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and best practice
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • Deep understanding of conditions such as SEMH, Autism, and ADHD
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
