About the Role:
Academic Appointments Ltd is working in partnership with a Secondary School in Bradford, part of a reputable multi-academy trust, to recruit a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time position for one academic year, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, helping them to develop strong literacy and analytical skills in a well-supported and well-behaved school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in students
Contribute positively to the English department’s collaborative and creative ethos
Uphold high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom behaviour
Requirements:
*A relevant honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*A strong track record of success in teaching English
*Two recent references from educational settings
*An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
*A passion for English and a commitment to helping students succeed
