We’re looking for a loyal, committed, and focused individual to join our team as a Fitness Attendant at the [EN]GAGE Sports Centre, part of Edinburgh Napier University. This is a permanent, part-time role, working 16 hours per week across Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant and welcoming fitness community.

About [EN]GAGE

[EN]GAGE is home to our state-of-the-art sport and fitness facility, based at our Sighthill campus. Open to students, staff, members, and the public, it offers an inclusive, fun, and welcoming environment for everyone. The centre features a fully equipped fitness suite with resistance and cardio machines, treadmills, free weights, and a performance area for strength and conditioning. We also offer fitness studios, a sports hall for activities like badminton and basketball, and much more.

What You’ll Do:

• Be the friendly face of [EN]GAGE, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
• Support gym users by demonstrating safe and effective use of equipment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene across the facility.
• Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for bookings and events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the customer experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine interest in sport, mobility, and fitness.
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a gym or sports environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well within a team
• A flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude.
• Flexible approach to consider working additional shifts to cover holiday and sickness when required

Salary: £23,028 - £25,733 per annum, pro rata (£12.65 - £14.14 per hour)
