Early Years Enhanced Teaching Assistant (x2 posts)

Grade 5 £24,294 - £26,421 pro rata

Temporary – required from 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026

The Governors and Headteacher of Seascape Primary School wish to appoint an EY Enhanced Teaching Assistant who has the ability to increase pupil engagement and raise standards within the Early Years setting.

We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic and have high expectations of children's development and achievement. The role will include working within EYFS and will include work with whole class and groups of children, including children with SEND and EHCP.

In this role, you will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the EYFS Foundation Stage curriculum. You will provide support for pupils, the teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all, by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with teaching staff in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of provision and resources. You will also deliver learning to individuals predominantly but may also need at times to deliver learning to small groups and whole classes. You will encourage pupils to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life.

The successful candidate will:

• Set the very highest standards for themselves and pupils;
• Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and the EYFS curriculum
• Have highly effective communication skills, and a commitment to a working collaboratively;
• Inspire and motivate pupils by providing creative and challenging learning experiences.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
