Crynodeb

Danny Sullivan Group are searching for a Design Engineer to join a growing team in Northampton, working on the AMP Water Framework.
The ideal candidate for this role would have previous experience in working a similar role and a strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment.
Responsibilities:

- Lead mechanical and civil design of water/wastewater treatment solutions (e.g., pump systems, sludge dewatering, pipelines).
- Prepare and analyse design options.
- Conduct calculations for mechanical, hydraulic, and building service equipment.
- Produce P&IDs and datasheets.
- Coordinate designs with Principal Designer.
- Conduct feasibility studies and engineering evaluations, including field inspections.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers and Environmental Science team to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain project documentation – reports, drawings, specification.
- Proactively manage time/cost/quality risks and escalate issues early.
- Apply H&S and CDM regulation requirements to ensure safe designs.

Experience/Qualifications:

- HND/Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment, hydraulics, and pumping systems.
- Skilled in MS Office and engineering design software.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
