What to Expect When Working for Us

As a Support worker, you’ll be joining a supportive and dynamic team that values empathy, reliability, and client-centred care. You’ll play a vital role in improving clients' quality of life. You’ll receive full training and ongoing support to develop your skills and knowledge in healthcare.

Here are some of the tasks to expect when working for Comforting Healthcare:
- Provide patient care and support to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while providing care.

Qualities We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in patient care, home care, or senior care is not necessary but, highly desirable.
- Attentiveness to detail and clients' needs
- Familiarity with dementia care and hospice care principles is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or health-related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
