We are looking for someone to join our Senior Leadership Team and fully embrace life at Havelock Academy. The successful candidate will be a brilliant teacher who has a proven track record of results in the classroom them self. They will not be afraid to take on challenges and they will form strong and positive relationships with colleagues, students, parents/carers and other stakeholders. They will be hardworking, resilient and fully committed to making a positive difference in our community.

Havelock is the founding member of the David Ross Education Trust, with the trust motto of Broadening Horizons at the heart of everything we do. We deliver an ambitious curriculum to all students in an inclusive environment where we strive to ensure all children can succeed. The Havelock Way was introduced some years ago to provide a clear shared approach for our full community, ensuring expert teachers can focus on teaching. We were recently (January 2023) inspected by Ofsted and graded as Good in all areas. The academy has far higher than average PPG intake (with 67% of our current Year 7 students falling into this category) which brings with it immense rewards, meaning the academy makes a significant difference to the community we serve.

About the role
We are looking for someone to replace the present post-holder, who has successfully led on curriculum at Havelock for the last three years and is now moving on to a headship elsewhere.
The role involves the leadership of all aspects of our curriculum, from conception to outcomes, to ensure all of our students, across all key stages receive the best possible education. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in our community and supporting our continued improvement journey. The successful candidate will need to be highly personable and be able to work under pressure, supporting all stakeholders. They will need to model “the Havelock Way” in everything they do, engaging fully in all aspects of academy life.
This is afull time, permanent position,joining the Havelock Senior Leadership Team in a crucial role to further develop our wider team and ensure our students continue to thrive as a result of the best possible curriculum.
