Pay Rate: £12.31 (£50 Per Sleep-In Shift)
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 Hours Per Week)

Are you enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about making a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Support Worker to join our team in Wokingham!

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You will be supporting a lady in her 60s with mental health difficulties and bipolar disorder. She requires high emotional support and reassurance throughout the day. She enjoys:

- Shopping: Loves going out shopping.

- Family: Enjoys talking about family and sending cards to loved ones.

- Music and Dancing: Loves listening to music and dancing.

- TV: Enjoys watching TV.

- Chatting: Loves to chat and has a great sense of humor.

What Will You Be Doing?

Each day will be different, but you will be supporting with:

- Personal Care: Providing minimal assistance with personal care tasks, including washing hair.

- Emotional Support: Offering high emotional support and reassurance throughout the day.

- Community Support: Offering 1:1 support when out in the community.

- Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and supporting her with her dietary needs, including following SALT assessment guidelines.

- Medication Administration: Ensuring she receives her medication as prescribed.

- Communication: Providing clear and confident communication, managing verbal behaviours of distress, and setting expectations.

We are looking for someone who is mentally strong, empathetic, and has a positive attitude. You should be:

- Experienced with Mental Health Support: Comfortable working with individuals with mental health difficulties.

- Strong Communicator: Able to provide clear and confident communication.

- Positive and Resilient: Capable of diverting attention, giving space, and positively managing behaviours.

- Outgoing and Chatty: Enjoys engaging in conversations and maintaining professional boundaries.

Shift Patterns:

- Flexible Across the Week:

- 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

- 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM

- 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM

- Sleep-In: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (is a must)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
