Support Worker – Supported Living
Location: Macclesfield, SK10 & SK11
Pay Rate: £12.30 to £12.50 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Shifts: Immediate Start | Days, Nights & Sleep-in Shifts Available

Social Care & Education is looking for experienced and dedicated Support Workers to provide specialist care to adults with epilepsy, learning disabilities, ADHD, dysphagia, and non-verbal communication needs in a supported living environment. This role is ideal for an energetic, fun, and compassionate individual who is committed to enhancing the lives of service users through personalised and engaging support.
Your Responsibilities as a Support Worker
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with complex needs, promoting their independence, and ensuring they receive high-quality person-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing specialist support to service users with epilepsy, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Understanding and assisting with dysphagia care, supporting individuals with eating and drinking safely.
Encouraging and supporting individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, and non-verbal communication needs, using appropriate communication methods.
Assisting service users with their daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Engaging service users in fun, energetic, and stimulating activities that promote well-being and social interaction.
Administering medication independently and maintaining accurate records.
Ensuring all care plans are followed and updated accordingly.
Providing transportation for service users to appointments, activities, and outings using.
What We’re Looking for in a Candidate
To succeed in this role, you must be proactive, enthusiastic, and skilled in supporting individuals with complex needs. The essential requirements include:
A minimum of 3 months UK experience working with adults with epilepsy, dysphagia, learning disabilities, ADHD, and non-verbal communication needs.
A full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
Confidence in administering medication independently following the correct procedures.
An ability to work independently and confidently during lone working shifts.
A fun, energetic, and engaging personality to create a positive environment for service users.
Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
An Enhanced DBS check (preferably registered on the update service).
