About the role 

The Casework Coordinator provides a wide range of support and information to beneficiaries and volunteers. Responsible for data input and welfare case creation into our CRM system (we use Salesforce) and other platforms, the role requires high levels of emotional intelligence, creativity, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude to working with a variety of people at all levels to provide exceptional levels of support to vulnerable RAF community members. Working closely with a team of Casework Officers, you will have responsibilities which include

Produce detailed accounts of welfare conversations and support the Casework Officers in case management and progression.

Provide excellent customer service to resolve, support or refer queries in relation to a wide variety of subjects.

Identify and handle vulnerable persons in an appropriate manner

Take responsibility for welfare checks on beneficiaries receiving support

Provide safeguarding referrals to external organisations, including the local authority, for our beneficiaries. Ensure timely follow-ups and record all communications

Research in depth quotations to progress applications for beneficiaries, recommending alternative sources of support where necessary.

About you 

This is role is ideally suited to someone with experience in dealing with emotive and sensitive issues, for example a GP receptionist, caseworker or support worker. You will need to have a high level of emotional resilience to manage the potentially emotional demands of the role along with a confident, professional and warm telephone manner. We use a variety of up-to-date IT so you will need to be highly proficient in the use of databases and CRM systems along with Microsoft Office. With a broad range of administration experience, and the ability to communicate effectively using an excellent standard of accuracy, fluency, grammar and expression (written and verbal), you will thrive in a role where you will be supporting people who really need our help.
