What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage all costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works;
  • Provide support to senior members of team in delivering varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain;
  • Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers;
  • Assist with commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle process.

Who we're looking for

The following qualifications or equivalent are essential:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience).

The following qualities/experience are desirable:

  • An organised, innovative and creative Quantity Surveyor with experience of working on Projects;
  • Previous experience of managing costs and maximising value;
  • Experience of financial and commercial control within a project;
  • Experience of procuring and managing supply chain;
  • Experience of working as part of commercial teams;
  • Maintain a Personal Development Plan;
  • Supports the development of others;
  • Membership of RICS or ICES (or working towards this accreditation);
  • Proven record of working to deadlines, working efficiently and to a high standard;
  • Experience of infrastructure projects with resilience and determination to succeed.
