Crynodeb
Physical Security Countermeasures oversees the strategic development and national deployment of a range of physical countermeasures to support security risk management. The team is responsible for a wide and diverse range of technological solutions, as well as the operational, contractual and policy context that they fit.
This is a non-operational HQ post, within the Risk and Capabilities Unit with focus on supporting the frontline. Knowledge and or understanding of the operational and broader criminal justice context would be beneficial.
The post will support delivery of work in one key threat area combatting conveyance or illicit communications through a variety of countermeasures ensuring that they are compliant with legislation, fit for purpose in an operational environment and which can be used by staff effectively and compliantly. The post will work closely with Commercial and Contract Management to ensure that the right support is in place to procure, manage & maintain the countermeasures available.
Travelling will be required for project delivery and to provide key support to prisons. The post will also involve management of a small team to help deliver core aspects of work relating to the threat area.
