Crynodeb
Full time role available, must be flexible to work Monday to Friday and some weekends as required.
A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Our service is located in 17 acres of beautiful countryside in Copthorne, West Sussex. We actively involve its service users in their local community, where they take part in a wide range of activities using local resources.
About the role
As a Driver with Leonard Cheshire you will provide the transportation requirements of the service. Ensuring the safety of passengers, you will assist residents as required, fully supporting individual mobility needs.
You will ensure our vehicles are well maintained, with regular safety checks for oil, water, tyre pressure etc, frequently cleaned and well presented.
To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a driving licence with no endorsements and previous driving experience.
• Be MiDAS accredited for appropriate vehicles (suitable training will be required for other vehicles).
• Have experience of driving a minibus and/or adapted vehicles (desirable for some roles).
• Be willing to work flexibly to the needs of the service.
